An 'Emu's Breakfast' is Strine ('straiyan' =translated "Australian") for "a drink and a quick look around"... Time to go take a peek at Fiji and see what the locals are up to... Me and Dave are off with Air Pacific to check out the varying shades of blue in Sunny Fiji for a couple of weeks...

...Did it, saw it, rocked it, drank it, sat on it, climbed it, tried it and even got a t-shirt (that I've never worn since) Fiji was unreal. The sailing trip rocked! One of the best holidays ever!

We had an absolute ball in Fiji. The Fijians are heaps more mellow than the Samoans, even the Javanese. Fijians are cool, and the kava ceremonies are the shiznit!!

Dave and I got fried and stoked daily. We met some really cool people and enjoyed sailing through the Yasawas sleeping under the stars on the deck of the yacht at night, snorkelling under the water by day. We gutsed ourselves on cake, slept alot, played games and danced and played guitar, climbed mountains and caught tuna. The old Fijians just love their kava, and after a while the filthy looking stuff sorta became palatable. It's an ugly looking concoction to mellow you out without doing your head in.

BUT when you're having a great time it's over all too soon. There were some really magical and funny moments. Dave is an absolute scream anytime, and his high energy was a bonus. Fiji would be good to go on a surfing trip - a yacht charter to the breaks, there's a whole lot more energy and mental alertness when there's waves involved. We all did a lot of lushing, which is entirely essential.  8/10
